Job summary

IMH Recruitment is seeking a Logistics Administrator for our client in Rotherham. This temporary-to-permanent position starts immediately and involves coordinating transport, preparing driver paperwork and liaising with freight companies.

You will handle daily calls from the sales team, manage routes and schedules, and ensure timely dispatch and returns processing, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Customer service experience is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Job Duties:

• Manage transport schedules and truck utilisation
• Prepare paperwork for drivers
• Arrange shipping and collections
• Deal with daily calls and queries from the sales team
• Liaise with freight companies regarding transport issues and updates
• Manage holidays and arrange cover where required
• Process and follow up returns
• Check orders have been processed for dispatch
• Schedule truck and warehouse equipment maintenance
• Arrange warehouse staff training
• Manage courier claims for missed, late or damaged deliveries
• Book collections from customers and suppliers
• Complete other logistics and administrative tasks as required

Requirements for role:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or administration is essential
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Good customer service experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Good attention to detail

Hours and Pay:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30am – 5:00pm
• £14-£15 per hour - salary is dependant on experience
• Immediate start required
