Job summary

Hayley Dexis in Halesowen is offering a Business Administration Apprenticeship. You will gain hands-on experience supporting international shipments, customs processes, and administration while learning logistics and customer service.

No prior experience is required; Excel/Word skills are preferred. The apprenticeship lasts about 18 months, with a starting salary of £16,640 and opportunities to progress within the Hayley Group.

Qualifications

• A genuine interest in business administration, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisation skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand written information and procedures.
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• No prior experience is required, just a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a commitment to developing new skills.

Responsibilities

• Support international shipments, bookings and customs processes.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues by phone and email.
• Prepare shipping documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Track deliveries and provide shipment updates.
• Use company systems to process orders and create shipping documents.
• Work with warehouse, logistics and sales teams to deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues efficiently.
• Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into roles within Logistics, Customs Compliance, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
