Job summary

Hayley Group in Dudley is offering a Business Administration Apprentice role within our Drives Division. You’ll support a busy sales and customer service team, gaining hands-on experience in orders, records and communications.

This apprenticeship provides training through the Hayley Academy and leads to a Level 3 Business Administration qualification after completion, with potential progression into admin, customer service or internal sales.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Raise and process customer and supplier orders accurately using company systems.
• Chase outstanding orders and provide updates to customers and colleagues.
• Check supplier order confirmations against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Review warehouse transfer (WT) reports and maintain accurate records.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• File and maintain business documentation both electronically and manually.
• Answer incoming calls and assist with booking deliveries and collections from suppliers.
• Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
