Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Evesham. You will perform routine clinical tasks, assist with patient assessments and keep the treatment room running smoothly.

The role is suitable for a proactive HCA with NHS/primary care experience, strong communication skills and good IT literacy for clinical records. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions are available, with morning or afternoon slots.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
