Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a proactive HCA to support a GP practice in Kidderminster. You will assist the clinical team with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity, helping manage patient flow in a well-organised primary care setting.

The role involves performing observations, assisting with treatment room procedures, phlebotomy (if trained) and routine ECGs, with strong emphasis on accurate record-keeping and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable.
• Comfortable performing clinical observations and using basic IT for record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting treatment room procedures and routine patient assessments.
• Completing ECGs and assisting with day-to-day clinical activities.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
