Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Kenilworth Avenue. The role focuses on routine clinical tasks, patient assessments and maintaining a smooth treatment room environment.

You will perform observations, assist with room procedures, undertake ECGs and phlebotomy where trained, update records, and help manage patient flow. The position suits a proactive HCA committed to high-quality primary care and flexible sessions.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
