Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in Marlow. You will assist with routine clinical duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity, helping manage patient flow in a friendly primary care environment.

The role suits proactive HCAs with strong communication skills, DBS clearance and the ability to work ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions, including morning and afternoon slots. This is an ideal option for long-term block bookings.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable.
• Able to perform clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO2).
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting with treatment room procedures
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
