Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a Local Housing Manager to be at the heart of our Retirement Living schemes. You will deliver a high quality housing and support service with a focus on tenancy sustainment and resident wellbeing, supported by the Operations Manager.

You’ll help residents live independently, keep the building safe and build strong links with residents and the local community. The role is diverse; no two days are the same, and you’ll engage with residents on local issues affecting their

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and numeracy to a high standard.
• Experience in the social housing sector, especially with older people (desirable).
• Knowledge of issues faced by older people or vulnerable groups (e.g., dementia, substances use, mental health) (desirable).
• People management of direct reports or contractors (desirable).
• CIH Level 3 or 4 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality housing and support service to residents.
• Support residents to live independently and sustain tenancies.
• Ensure the building is safe and secure and engage with residents and the local community.
• Support residents to reach consensus on local issues affecting their homes.
