Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking an Assistant Local Housing Manager to support a Retirement Living scheme. The role is 20 hours per week with a Monday shift, and flexibility for the remaining hours.

You will assist with tenancy sustainment, resident wellbeing, and engagement with residents and the local community. The post focuses on safety, independence, and high-quality service delivery within schemes for older residents.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• Experience in the social housing sector, especially with older people (desirable).
• Knowledge of issues faced by older people or other vulnerable groups (desirable).
• CIH Level 3 or 4 desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Local Housing Manager in delivering housing and support services to residents.
• Assist residents to live independently and sustain tenancies.
• Engage with residents and the local community to address local issues affecting their homes.
• Help ensure the building is safe and secure.

Hours: 20 hours per weekShift Pattern: Must work every Monday, but flexible with remaining hoursThe Local Housing Manager team is at the very heart of a Housing 21 Retirement Living scheme. This customer-facing role supports the Local Housing Manager in providing a professional, high quality and effective housing and support service to residents.The Assistant Local Housing Manager assists and deputises for the Local Housing Manager in being responsible for all aspects of court life and relationships with the local community.The role is diverse, and no two days are the same. Our Assistant Local Housing Managers support all residents to enable them to live independently in their own homes, with a focus on tenancy sustainment, support and resident wellbeing. They work with the Local Housing Manager to ensure the building is safe and secure, engage actively with residents and the local community, and assist residents to reach consensus about local issues affecting their homes.What we’re
