Job summary

Panda is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Widnes depot, operating skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area. You’ll deliver, exchange, and collect containers while keeping vehicles to a high standard and following safety rules.

This full-time role offers a 45-hour week, paid breaks, and overtime. The position includes early starts (6am) and occasional Saturdays, with competitive pay and benefits including pension and death in service.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• Proven experience driving HGVs, ideally within the waste management sector
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance
• Reliable, professional approach with teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and a practical, customer‑focused attitude
• Flexibility to support operational needs, including a 6am start and occasional Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely
• Deliver, exchange, and collect containers across sites
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental standards, and road laws
• Work safely and follow site, transport, and road regulations
• Provide a professional and helpful service to customers on site
• Support the Widnes depot team
