Job summary

Panda in Widnes is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to operate skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area. The role focuses on safe driving, high standards of vehicle maintenance and excellent customer service.

You'll join a busy Widnes depot team with a 45‑hour week, paid breaks, and overtime after 40 hours. The job requires early starts (6am) and occasional Saturdays, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence valid.
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card valid.
• Experience driving HGVs, ideally in waste management.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations and compliance.
• Reliable, professional with teamwork mindset.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused attitude.
• Willingness to start at 6am and occasional Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver, exchange and collect containers across sites.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with safety, environmental standards and road laws.
• Work safely and follow site and transport regulations.
• Provide professional service to customers on site.
• Support the Widnes depot and transport team.
