Job summary

DPD is looking for a professional local 7.5 Tonne Driver to own a designated route in Reading. You’ll deliver 40–50 stops a day, ensuring parcels reach customers with top-notch service and on-time delivery.

You’ll load and unload using sack barrows and hand trucks, navigate with Saturn handheld devices, and stay safe, efficient and friendly on every shift. This role suits someone who values autonomy, loves the road, and takes pride in making customers' day easier.

Qualifications

• A valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) licence and DQC/CPC accreditation.
• Ideally 6 months recent driving experience with 7.5 Tonne vehicles.
• Professional, approachable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically active and comfortable with lifting involved.

Responsibilities

• Drive local routes with a 7.5 Tonne vehicle on designated deliveries.
• Load and unload parcels using sack barrows and hand trucks.
• Utilise Saturn handheld device to track deliveries and progress.
