Job summary

Veolia is hiring a loader in Northampton (NN5 5JW) to join one of the UK\'s largest waste and resource management teams. The role involves collecting waste, assisting the driver, and maintaining safety and site standards on a 42.5-hour week. Training is provided and you'll work mainly outdoors in all weathers.

Salary is £28,333.31 per year with benefits and development opportunities. This is a full-time position based at Northampton, with a focus on community service and environmental impact.

Responsibilities

  • Emptying bins or collecting bags from premises.
  • This includes domestic waste , green waste and recycling.
  • Boxes are sometimes used in the way of collecting glass.
  • Ensuring that any potential danger to yourself, other employees, and the general public is minimised.
  • Ensuring the road is left clean and tidy following collections, including bins placed back on the boundary and all spillages cleared.
  • Assisting the driver when manoeuvring the vehicle, especially reversing.
  • Acting as ambassadors on behalf of the company, ensuring that the client is treated respectfully and that all requirements are complied with where safe to do so.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform duties in an efficient & effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity.
  • To accurately complete appropriate forms/paperwork or electronic tablet allocated work.
  • Comply with any site conditions ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and appropriate Veolia PPE is worn at all times.
  • To work as part of a team or your own initiative.
  • Report any accidents that occur during your shift to the manager and all accident reports are completed before you leave work.
  • Full training will be provided and will be working mainly outside in all weathers.
