Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a HGV 2 Driver / Loader at Ross Depot in Folkestone. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30, loading recycling and waste, performing vehicle checks, and entering notes via onboard tech. You’ll join a team focused on safety, efficiency, and contractual responsibilities.

The role requires a Class 2 licence and CPC/DIGI card, with strong time management and communication. Veolia offers training, benefits, and a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Essential: Class 2 Driving Licence.
• Essential: Up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work well as a team member, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management skills are essential.
• Desirable: Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable.
• Desirable: Prior experience in the waste industry.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with all traffic laws and keep the work environment safe and clean.
• Work closely with your team to ensure daily information is captured from onboard service.
• Ensure Veolia complies with contractual obligations (e.g., spillages cleaned up).

Pay: £36,917.24 Annually, plus Veolia benefits

What you'll be doing

• Working closely with your team to ensure that all-round information is completed daily from your onboard service.

What we're looking for
