Job summary

Veolia UK is hiring a Loader in Northampton to support waste collection operations. You will empty bins, assist the driver, and ensure safety and efficiency on site while working mainly outdoors in all weather conditions.

The role requires good teamwork and reliable, punctual performance with a focus on customer service and following Veolia PPE and site rules. Training is provided; join a large fleet and contribute to serving local communities.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week

What you'll be doing;

• Emptying bins or collecting bags from premises . This includes domestic waste , green waste and recycling. Boxes are sometimes used in the way of collecting glass.
• Ensuring that any potential danger to yourself, other employees, and the general public is minimised
• Ensuring the road is left clean and tidy following collections, including bins placed back on the boundary and all spillages cleared
• Assisting the driver when manoeuvring the vehicle, especially reversing
• Acting as ambassadors on behalf of the company, ensuring that the client is treated respectfully and that all requirements are complied with where safe to do so
• Perform duties in an efficient & effective manner that will ensure maximum productivity
• To accurately complete appropriate forms/paperwork or electronic tablet allocated work
• Comply with any site conditions ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and appropriate Veolia PPE is worn at all times
• To work as part of a team or on your own initiative
• Report any accidents that occur during your shift to the manager and all accident reports are completed before you leave work
• Full training will be provided and will be working mainly outside in all weathers
