As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Literacy Support Assistant to join our close-knit team at Heath Farm School, part of Acorn Education.
Our successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards in literacy across the school, be able to establish strong working relationships with staff and students alike, be able to work as part of a team, and will be a reliable and excellent communicator. Experience in RWO and Fresh Start Programmes is preferred but not essential.
Under the direction of the English Lead, the post holder will work with students who require additional support with literacy and reading. They will be part of a diagnostic literacy team, using evidence-based strategies and interventions to support reading fluency, phonics, blending, and comprehension.
Qualifications: Educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English. You will be calm, engaging, resilient, enjoy working as part of a team, and be genuinely motivated by helping every pupil reach their potential.
