Working pattern: Term time only and inset days (39 weeks)

Hours: 08.30-16.00, including a lunch duty every week

Starting salary (pro rata): £18,471 per annum

Salaries paid in 12 monthly installments

Role Overview

Are you passionate about supporting pupils' learning and personal development? The Burgess Hill Academy seeks enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant/Haven Student Supervisor to join our team. This role is split equally between supporting students academically and supervising within The Haven.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during lesson time and breaks within The Haven
  • Assist in classroom support and work with specific students across various subjects
  • Support with set tasks and create differentiated activities as needed
  • Coordinate with SENCo and Inclusion Co-ordinator regarding student progress and needs
Candidate Profile
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work discreetly and sensitively
  • Experience in a school environment or working with young people is desirable but not essential
