St Charles Borromeo is seeking to appoint a Teaching and Learning Assistant and Breakfast Club Manager to work in our friendly and successful school.
This post suited to either an experienced Learning Support Assistant, an individual returning to work in education after a break or to someone considering a career in education who would like to gain experience in a school setting. We can offer training and mentoring from teachers who have extensive educational experience. The school benefits from polite and engaging pupils, together with supportive parents and governors.
We are looking for a personable, flexible and dynamic individual, with a good competency in both Maths and English. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in teaching and learning. In addition, the job holder should expect to get involved in all aspects of school life and should relish variety; with the opportunity to work across different year groups and also with children who have additional needs.
The Learning Support Assistant element of this role is initially offered for 30 hours per week (on a term time only basis) on the Surrey 3 pay scale. This equates to £16,902 per annum pro rata. There is an expectation that the job holder will do lunchtime duties, and this is included in the above calculations. The Breakfast Club Manager role is an additional 6.25 hours on the Surrey 5 pay scale which equates to a further £3,896 per annum.
A different working pattern with less hours, will be considered for the right candidate. The post comes with automatic enrolment onto the Local Government Pension scheme, which is a valuable part of the reward package for public sector employees.
