Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a committed Commis Chef to join the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes and memorable guest experiences. You will learn through our Chef Academy and funded Level 2 qualification, progressing with robust kitchen training and hands-on practice.

You will contribute to daily specials, maintain clean prep areas, and adhere to food safety standards while supporting teamwork across the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and delightful dining for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, hotel, pub, or similar.
• Knowledge of cooking methods and ingredients.
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training.
• Passion for great food and guest experiences.
• Teamwork and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Cook and present dishes to recipe standards.
• Support creation of daily specials to showcase skills.
• Keep prep areas stocked, clean, and ready throughout service.
• Follow food safety standards and minimise waste.
• Work with team and Kitchen Manager to deliver guest experiences.
