Job summary

Kew Green Hotels in Brighton is looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team and help deliver outstanding dining experiences. You will work under the Kitchen Manager, cooking to recipe standards and supporting daily specials.

This role offers a funded Level 2 Commis Chef qualification via our Chef Academy and comprehensive hospitality training, with career development and wellbeing benefits across our hotel portfolio.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience or willingness to learn via the Chef Academy.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Cook and present dishes to recipe standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Support daily specials to showcase skills and excite guests.
• Keep prep areas stocked, clean and ready during service.
• Follow food safety standards and help minimise waste.
• Work with the Kitchen Manager to deliver excellent guest experiences.
