Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join the kitchen team and develop cooking skills while delivering high-quality dishes for guests at Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront. Training through our Chef Academy and funded Level 2 qualification supports your growth.

You will cook to recipe standards, assist with daily specials, maintain clean prep areas, and uphold food safety practices. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking in restaurant/hotel/pub or willingness to learn via Chef Academy.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training.
• Passion for great food and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Cook and present dishes to recipe standards with quality and consistency.
• Support the creation of daily specials to showcase skills.
• Maintain stocked, clean prep areas during service.
• Follow food safety standards and minimise waste.
• Collaborate with team and Kitchen Manager to deliver great guest experiences.
