Job summary

Kew Green Hotels is looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team. You will cook and present dishes to recipe standards and assist in developing daily specials, while keeping prep areas clean and stocked.

The role offers opportunities through our Chef Academy with funded Level 2 qualification and progression as you learn. This on-site position includes access to employee benefits and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience (restaurant, hotel, pub or similar) or willingness to learn via Chef Academy.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification or willingness to complete training.
• A passion for great food and creating memorable guest experiences.

This role reports to the Kitchen Manager.

What we’re looking for

• Previous cooking experience (restaurant, hotel, pub or similar) or a willingness to learn by joining our Chef Academy and completing a funded Level 2 Commis Chef qualification.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Basic Food Safety certification (or willingness to complete training).
• A passion for great food and creating memorable guest experiences.
• A positive attitude, commitment to teamwork and desire to learn.
