Job title: Lighting Control Systems Sales Manager (National)

Are you an expert in lighting control systems with a passion for driving sales and building strong industry relationships? We're on the hunt for a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead the charge in growing our lighting controls business across the UK. If you've sold or have hands-on experience with lighting control systems, this is your chance to take your career to the next level.

About the role:

In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with lighting manufacturers, electrical contractors, and key decision-makers-turning opportunities into long-term partnerships. Expect nationwide travel, regular client meetings, precise quoting, and seamless project handovers to our delivery team. Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and develop new customers, while expanding sales within the lighting controls sector using your industry expertise and network.
  2. Engage with existing and potential clients to explore lighting control opportunities and upcoming projects.
  3. Prepare accurate and competitive quotations aligned with customer needs and project requirements.
  4. Represent the business at industry events and through marketing initiatives to raise our profile in the lighting space.
  5. Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, opportunities, and project statuses using the CRM platform.
  6. Use Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) effectively for communication, reporting, and presentations.
  7. Ensure professional and polished interactions with all stakeholders and decision-makers.
  8. Collaborate closely with internal teams to guarantee smooth handover and successful delivery of projects.
  9. Keep customers informed throughout project lifecycles and ensure a high level of satisfaction and service delivery.

Requirements:

  1. Must have prior experience working with or selling lighting control systems.
  2. Knowledge of DALI / DALI2 lighting networks is highly desirable.
  3. Strong sales background with a proven record of growing and maintaining business in the lighting industry.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with CRM systems.
  5. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  6. Well-presented, confident, and comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  7. A technical or engineering background related to lighting controls is advantageous.
  8. Highly motivated, goal-driven, and eager to exceed targets.
  9. Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects.
  10. Willing to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays as needed.
