Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced HGV & Light Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client in Peterborough. The role offers a stable, long-term career with a reputable, family-run business and a salary of £32,000–£42,000 depending on experience.

You will diagnose, service and repair a range of HGVs and light vehicles, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package including weekly pay, private healthcare and training support.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualified Technician or equivalent industry experience.
Recent motor trade experience (within last 2 years).
Full UK Driving Licence; HGV licence beneficial but not essential.
Own tools are essential.

Responsibilities

Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to HGVs, light vehicles and trailers.
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
MOT preparation work.
Attending roadside breakdowns and disabled vehicles when required.
Liaising with parts department to source components.
Completing job cards and service documentation on time.
Maintaining workshop cleanliness and safe working practices.
following all customer site procedures and health & safety regulations.
Keeping up to date with product knowledge and attending training courses.
