Job summary

Interaction Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable operation based in Cambridgeshire. The role is in Peterborough with a salary of £43,680 to £50,000 per annum, offering stability, strong earning potential and long‑term progression.

You will conduct vehicle inspections, perform servicing and repairs to a high standard, and prepare HGVs for MOT testing. A Full UK driving licence and Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections and fault-finding diagnostics.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
• Prepare HGVs for MOT testing.
• Work efficiently to manage workload and maintain productivity.
• Liaise with Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure equipment longevity.
• Complete all required documentation accurately for each job.
