Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, to join a reputable operation offering stability and strong earning potential.

You will conduct inspections, diagnose faults, service and repair a range of HGVs, and prepare vehicles for MOT testing while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience across a varied HGV fleet.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Capability to deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections and fault‑finding diagnostics.
• Completing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
• Preparing HGVs for MOT testing.
• Working efficiently to manage your workload and maintain productivity.
• Liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and ensuring equipment longevity.
• Completing all required documentation accurately for each job carried out.
