Job summary

Nuffield Health Careers Worcester is seeking a Lifeguard to join our bank roster. You will monitor the pool area and support members in our gym facilities, ensuring safety and great customer care.

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is required, with ongoing training records. The role offers ad-hoc hours, a competitive hourly rate (£12.84), holiday in line with the Working Time Directive, a pension scheme, and discounted gym membership.

Qualifications

• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Ability to provide ongoing training records.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Passion for great customer care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using the pool, spa, sauna and steam room.
• Be attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities.
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to incidents straight away.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. You have bags of enthusiasm, a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Like us, you’re passionate about great customer care – and you’re a real team player.

As a Lifeguard, you will:
