Job summary

Nuffield Health in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Lifeguard for bank shifts at our gym. You will monitor the pool, spa, sauna and steam room to ensure safety and deliver excellent customer care in a friendly, professional environment.

You must hold an NPLQ or equivalent and keep training records up to date. The role offers ad-hoc hours, holiday pay in line with the Working Time Directive, and access to the Pension Scheme and discounted gym membership.

• Provide ongoing training records.

Responsibilities

• Help members stay safe and healthy when using wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room.
• Be attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities.
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to incidents straight away.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Lifeguard at our gym, you’ll hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent and you’re able to provide ongoing training records. As a Lifeguard, you will:
