Job summary

Getlink is seeking a Fire Detection Maintenance Technician to join the Telecommunications Control Systems (TCS) team in the UK. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair across fire detection, CCTV, PA, CIS, access control and related low voltage systems.

Working with UK and French colleagues, you will follow safety procedures, maintain records and contribute to asset upgrades and continuous improvement projects within a busy transport or infrastructure environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out corrective maintenance.
• Experience in maintenance, installation or technical support environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Valid Passport.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with technical standards and record work in MMS.
• Complete fault finding, first-line diagnostics and corrective maintenance on fire detection and safety systems.
• Support maintenance, testing and repair of low voltage systems including PA, CIS, CCTV, access control and other telecoms.
• Respond to maintenance requests prioritising safety and operational requirements.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment on-site and in workshop environments.
• Maintain MOR compliance and minimise operational disruption.

Education

HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunications)
