Swindon Borough Council is recruiting a Licensing Officer to support a broad range of licensing functions across Taxi, Animal, Street Trading, Events and Premises Licensing. The role is within Environmental Health and Regulatory Services, offering development opportunity and a chance to impact local communities.

The successful candidate will work 37 hours per week, travel across the borough, and will be subject to a DBS check. Salary starts at £34,434 per annum with additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in licensing functions or related regulatory work.
• Good time management and organisation with ability to work to deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover the full range of licensing functions including Taxi, Animal, Street Trading, Events and Premises Licensing.
• Work across Licensing and Regulatory Services within Environmental Health and Trading Standards.
• Able to travel around the borough and undergo a DBS check as part of the role.
