Job summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead invites applications for a Licensing Support Officer to become part of the Licensing team in Maidenhead. The role is full-time and permanent, with a salary advertised between £26,895 and £30,132 per annum.

Reporting to the Licensing Team Leader, you will process hackney carriage and private hire applications, assess applicants as fit and proper, and handle payments and related paperwork. Experience in local authority settings is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration work, including finance and payments.
• Experience of dealing directly, face to face, with customers and members of the public.
• Experience of working in a large organisation such as a local authority.
• IT literacy with wide experience of common applications.

Responsibilities

• Processing of applications for hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators, including face to face appointments with applicants.
• Determine whether applicants are “fit and proper” to hold a licence.
• Taking payments and dealing with all required paperwork and online administration.
