Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Licensed Electrician to join their team in a full-time permanent role on afternoon or night shift.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the Maintenance team to complete scheduled PM’s in a timely manner, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our PM program and the equipment
• Respond to and troubleshoot breakdowns with a sense of urgency (would be required to work at heights at times: ladders, scaffolding, roof)
• Installation of computer hardware/software in microprocessor-based systems
• Carry out PLC programming and changes
• Preventative maintenance of high-speed production equipment
• Complete detailed work logs for all repairs
• Understand and apply the Electrical Safety Code at all times
• Adhere to all Health and safety requirements in compliance with legislation and technical standards
• Other duties as required.

Requirements

• College diploma in an Electrical program
• Licensed A or A Electrician with strong working knowledge of the Electrical Safety Code
• A minimum of 3 years experience working in a fast-paced, highly automated manufacturing environment
• Experience with PLC’s, variable frequency drives and motion control
• High level of critical thinking and problem solving abilities
• Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s for food production facilities).
• Working at Heights certification
