Job summary

Davies, based in Stoke, is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join our Casualty team. You will provide a high quality claims service on behalf of clients, handling EL/PL/Products claims from cradle to grave.

The role requires knowledge of insurance, the ability to value injuries, negotiate settlements, and work to insurer philosophies. You will collaborate with loss adjusters and external stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience handling injury claims in insurance or legal settings.
• Knowledge of injuries valuation and reserving.
• Familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Establish cover for the claim.
• Record claims on digital system.
• Investigate liability claims from the desk or via loss adjusters.
• Make liability decisions.
• Negotiate settlement of claims.
• Ensure compliance with all legal timescales and client SLAs.
• Build relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
