Davies Group in Stoke is seeking a Senior Claims Handler EL/PL to manage liability claims from cradle to grave. You will establish cover, record, investigate and decide liability outcomes, and negotiate settlements while meeting legal timescales and client SLAs.

The role involves mentoring juniors, working with loss adjusters, and applying knowledge of policy wording and insurance market practices. A proactive, team-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Good communication at all levels and strong customer service
• Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for workload
• Experience in handling injury claims and understanding insurance environment

Responsabilités

• Establish if cover is in place for the claim.
• Record all claims on the digital claims handling system.
• Investigate liability claims by desk or via loss adjusters.
• Make decisions on liability and negotiate settlements.
• Ensure compliance with legal timescales and SLAs.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Authorise payments to defined limits.
• Mentor junior colleagues.
