Job summary

Davies Group is seeking an experienced Liability Claims Handler to join our Casualty team in Stoke. You will deliver a high-quality claims service for EL/PL/Products claims, from cradle to grave, in line with insurer philosophy and internal SLAs.

You will establish cover, record and investigate claims, decide liability, and negotiate settlements while maintaining timely compliance and strong client relationships across insurers.

Qualifications

• This role requires experience handling injury claims in an insurance or legal setting.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities are essential.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Establish if cover is in place for the claim.
• Record all claims on the digital claims handling system.
• Investigate liability claims from desk or via loss adjusters.
• Make the liability decision and negotiate settlements.
• Ensure compliance with legal timescales and client SLAs.
• Build relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
