Job summary

QBE Insurance Group in Leeds is recruiting a Claims Adjuster - Liability Credit Hire to examine, evaluate and process claims in line with policy terms. You will investigate disputed liability involving Credit Hire and resolve claims efficiently in a hybrid Leeds environment.

The role requires strong investigative skills, experience with policy coverage, and effective communication. You will work with stakeholders to monitor claims, reserve accurately, and support underwriting decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience handling Credit Hire claims at all levels.
• Strong investigative abilities.
• Proven experience with policy coverage issues.
• Experience negotiating liability.
• Understanding of litigation processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve Claims where Liability is disputed involving Credit Hire to minimise leakage.
• Identify coverage issues to ensure liability aligns with contractual commitments.
• Identify subrogation, contribution and recovery opportunities and pursue where appropriate.
• Manage Claims to resolve and settle claims on an economic basis.
• Ensure Claims fees and advices respond within agreed timeframes.
• Respond to internal and external stakeholder requests per service standards.
• Flag complaints and Treat Customers Fairly.
• Maintain knowledge of the Claims Portfolio for underwriting and decisions.
• Maintain accurate reserve levels for the Company’s liability.
