Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join our BOC Worsley operation on a permanent night shift. The role involves delivering products nationwide with loading/unloading duties using a counterbalance FLT (training provided) and strict safety/compliance adherence.

The position offers an average 53-hour week, overtime opportunities, and competitive pay with paid training and medicals. 24 days holiday, rising to 25 in 2027.

LGV Class 1 Driver – BOC Worsley

Permanent Position | Monday–Friday Nights

The Role

We are looking for an experienced LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team based at BOC Worsley.

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday NIGHTS
• Start Times: Between 5:00pm and 9:00pm
• Regular weekend working and overtime
• 40 hours per week plus overtime
• Average working week: 53 hours
• Permanent position

You will be responsible for delivering products to customers across the country as part of our BOC contract.

The role involves transporting compressed gas cylinders between BOC sites and using a counterbalance FLT to load and unload your vehicle. Full FLT training will be provided.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.34 per hour
• Overtime: £24.51–£32.68 per hour
• Overtime paid after 8 hours
• Average 53-hour working week
• 1 Sunday per month at £32.68 per hour
• 32 days holidays per year inclusive of bank holidays rising to 33 days in 2027.

Essential Requirements

• A strong safety-focused mindset
• LGV Class 1 licence with no more than 3 points
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid Driver CPC
• Strong understanding of Driver Hours and Transport Legislation
• Minimum 3 years' Class 1 driving experience

Desirable Requirements

• Counterbalance FLT experience – full training will be provided
• Valid ADR licence, all classes including Package Goods, excluding Classes 1 & 7
• ADR training can be provided for the right candidate
