Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) for our Scunthorpe depot. Work is Monday to Friday on a tramping shift pattern, with a structured pay scale and fully paid breaks. Overtime, night out and weekend rates apply, along with paid CPC and ADR refreshers.

Essential requirements include LGV Class 1 with <=6 points, tachograph card, Driver CPC, and ADR licence (all classes except 1 & 7). Training and safety remain a core focus of this role.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence holder with clean tachograph record.
• Driver CPC certification required for professional transport operations.
• ADR licence covering other classes (excluding 1 & 7) as stated.
• A strong safety-focused approach to driving and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 vehicles on a national/tramping pattern.
• Adhere to Driver Transport Legislation and company safety rules.
• Attend paid CPC training, refreshers and ADR courses as offered.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we've proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Scunthorpe depot, working a Monday to Friday tramping shift pattern.

Pay Rates:

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.
• £14.80 per hour
• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday
• £41.54 per night out
• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour
• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday shifts
• £150 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay
• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers

Essential Requirements:

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
• A tachograph card
• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7
• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
• A safety focus
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
• Tanker Experience preferred.

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
