Job summary

Schenk UK is hiring an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) for the Scunthorpe depot, operating a Monday to Friday tramping pattern. Training is provided with full breaks paid and ADR/CPC refreshers funded.

Essential requirements include a Class 1 licence (max 6 points), tachograph card, Driver CPC, and a valid ADR licence for most classes. Tanker experience is preferred and safety is emphasised throughout the role.

Qualifications

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points (ADR preferred).
• A tachograph card is required.
• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• A valid ADR licence for all classes except 1 & 7.
• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.
• A safety-focused approach to driving and compliance.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience.
• Tanker experience preferred.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we've proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Scunthorpe depot, working a Monday to Friday tramping shift pattern.

Pay Rates:

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.

• £14.80 per hour

• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday

• £41.54 per night out

• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour

• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday shifts

• £150 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay

• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
