Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join the General Chemicals team at our Stockton depot, working Monday to Friday nights. Training pays £162.80 per day during onboarding, then hourly and shift rates apply. Overtime, night-out, and weekend rates are provided, with a 45-hour weekly guarantee.

Essential qualifications include a Class 1 licence with <=6 points, tachograph card, Driver CPC, and ADR (excluding 1 & 7). Tanker experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 vehicles on night shifts from Stockton depot.
• Adhere to ADR and transport legislation during all runs.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and logbooks as required.
• Maintain high safety standards and fuel/load compliance.

Role

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our General Chemicals team based at our Stockton depot, working Monday to Friday Nights.

Pay Rates

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.


• £14.80 per hour


• £1.86 per for all night shift hours worked


• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday


• £41.54 per night out


• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour


• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday shifts


• £150 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay


• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

Essential Requirements

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points


• A tachograph card


• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)


• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7


• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation


• A safety focus


• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience


• Tanker Experience preferred.
