Job summary

Schenk UK at Grays depot is seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join a leading national tanker haulage team. You will work Monday to Friday days, delivering chemicals, fuels and related products with a strong emphasis on safety.

The role offers structured pay with training (£182.34 per day) and after training (£16.54 per hour), plus overtime and weekend premiums. Fully paid breaks and CPC/ADR refreshers are provided.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 Licence with clean points (max 6) and a Tachograph card.
• Driver CPC certification required for the commercial driving role.
• ADR licence all classes except 1 & 7 must be held.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV Class 1 vehicles to deliver chemicals, fuels and related products.
• Maintain high safety standards and compliance with Driver Transport Legislation.
• Work Monday to Friday days with paid breaks and CPC/ADR refreshers.
• Enjoy overtime opportunities and paid bank holidays where applicable.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we have proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Grays depot, working Monday to Friday days.

Pay Rates:

£182.34 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.

£16.54 per hour

Overtime hours at £24.81 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday

£41.54 per night out

£24.81 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £33.08 per hour

£33.08 per hour paid for Sunday shifts

£150.00 per day paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay

45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers

Essential Requirements:

An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points

A tachograph card

A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7

A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation

A safety focus

Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience

Tanker Experience preferred.

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
