Job summary

Schenk UK is recruiting experienced LGV Class 1 drivers for its waste operations at the Knostrop site. You will work Monday to Friday nights, with a guaranteed 50 hours and overtime premiums for evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. CPC and tachograph compliance is essential, with vacuum tanker experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points).
• Driver CPC and valid tachograph card required.
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience.
• Vacuum tanker experience preferred (training provided if required).
• Strong knowledge of Driver Transport Legislation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate LGV Class 1 vehicles for waste operations at Schenk UK.
• Adhere to night shift schedule (Monday to Friday - Nights) and guaranteed 50-hour minimum.
• Ensure compliance with CPC, tachograph rules and transport regulations.
• Maintain safety standards and vehicle cleanliness; report faults promptly.

Schenk UK is an innovative national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the UK. For over 60 years, we’ve proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, making us the UK’s largest chemical transporter.

We’re now seeking experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers to join our waste operations team at our Knostrop site, working Monday to Friday - Nights.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.53 per hour (basic rate)

• Guaranteed 50 hours

• Overtime (Mon–Fri): £24.80/hr after 9 hours per shift

• Saturday overtime: £24.80/hr after 3 hours worked

• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £33.06/hr after 3 hours worked

• Weekend working is part of the shift pattern (reflected in pay rates)

• Bank Holiday working also required (premium pay reflects unsocial hours)

• Fully paid breaks

• All CPC training hours, courses, accreditations & driver medicals paid

• Full PPE provided

What We’re Looking For

• LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points)
