Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking an LGV 2 Driver to join our outdoor operations. You will drive waste collection vehicles, collecting bins, boxes and bags from households and support street cleansing activities. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and a commitment to community cleanliness.

The position runs Monday to Friday with early start times, offering on-the-job training and access to employee perks including discounts and PPE. PPE is provided and safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV waste collection vehicles and collect/empty bins, boxes and bags from households.
• Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
• Work as part of a crew and demonstrate initiative, leading teams when required.

Pay Rate: £16.67p/h

Monday to Friday,

Start Time: 06:45 Finish Time: 15.15

Working as part of a crew, you will drive LGV waste collection vehicles, collecting and emptying bins, boxes and bags* from householders and carrying out street cleansing activities such as sweeping and litter picking.
