Job summary

The Biffa Group is seeking a LGV 2 Driver for a night shift. You will operate various LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins from our trade waste customers, on a Monday to Friday schedule with start times between 14:00 and 18:00.

This role offers pay of £19.46 per hour plus a night shift allowance and overtime. Weekend rate ranges from £23 to £28 per hour plus night allowance. Join a large, diverse team with in-house training and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins.
• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently on trade waste routes.
• Work outdoors with initiative and accuracy.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects as needed.

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
