Job summary

Randstad Education in Bolton is seeking an experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to support autistic pupils in a dedicated SEN Unit within a secondary school. This full-time, long-term role offers potential for permanent placement and requires working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individualized learning strategies.

Qualifications

Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Strong behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate.
Ability to build rapport with young people and work 1:1 or in small groups.

Responsibilities

Prepare resources and activities for 1:1 and small-group support aligned to EHCP targets.
Collaborate with teachers and SENCO to organise structured routines and activities.
Liaise with other professionals and support staff in the SEN Unit.
Support development of personal, emotional, and social skills in pupils with complex needs.
Monitor pupil progress and contribute to learning plans.
