Job summary

Randstad Education in Guildford is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support students with autism and complex disabilities in a school setting, on a day-to-day basis or for a longer-term contract.

You will assist with non-verbal communication, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment. GCSE English and Maths and a Level 2/3 TA qualification are desirable, as is an Enhanced DBS or willingness to pay for one.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent).
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check on update service or willingness to pay for one.
• 3–6 months experience with children or young people, preferably SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience and a proactive approach.
