Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Hartlepool is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a SEN Hub within a mainstream primary setting.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups to aid academic, social and emotional development, in close collaboration with teachers and SEN professionals.

Are you a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to work within a SEN Hub based in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hartlepool.

The Role:

• Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs
• Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups
• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Assist in creating a positive, engaging and structured learning environment
• Work closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to support individual learning plans

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
