Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Hartlepool. The role is full-time, with immediate or September start, and ongoing with potential for long-term placement.

You will support the class teacher, assist individuals and groups, and help pupils reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. DBS update service preferred; competitive daily rate and CPD opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service is desirable or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted learning support.
• Assist pupils with varying learning abilities to help them achieve their full potential.
• Support children with SEND as required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a productive classroom environment.
• Assist with assessment activities and monitoring pupil progress.
• Help create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environment for all students.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
