Job summary

Teaching Personnel in South Shields is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN in a welcoming primary school environment. The role is part-time, three days per week, offering the chance to help pupils access learning and reach their potential.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs, bringing patience, nurture, and strong teamwork to a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
  • Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and academic development.

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Shields on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week.
