Job description

Primary Teaching Assistant A headteacher is seeking a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in preston supporting a pupil in Year 3 across the classroom to help them engage with learning.

This is a full time position working closely with the class teacher to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 (KS2).

The school has a strong focus on inclusive learning and pupil development, with a supportive staff team and a positive learning environment, making it an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teaching Assistant looking to develop their experience in a school setting.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
  • Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
  • Understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
